The National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) has announced its much-anticipated Internship Programme for 2025, offering a unique opportunity for law students to gain practical exposure to the legal system and contribute to ensuring justice for all.
This one-month internship is not just an academic endeavor but a transformative journey to understand the intricacies of the Indian legal framework and the vital role played by NALSA in providing free legal services to the underprivileged and promoting Lok Adalats for amicable dispute resolution.

Who Can Apply?
This internship is open to law students pursuing a Three-Year LL.B or a Five-Year Integrated Law Course from a recognized institution.
Preferred Candidates: Students in their 2nd or 3rd year of the Three-Year LL.B or 4th or 5th year of the Five-Year Integrated Course.
Internship Highlights
Duration:
One Month (Four Weeks): Starting from the 1st day of the selected month.
Activities Include:
Orientation on NALSA’s functions and objectives.
Access to reading materials like SOPs, schemes, and statistical reports.
Extensive Field Visits: Explore Mediation Centres, District Legal Services Authorities, Legal Aid Defense Offices, and the Supreme Court of India Library.
Key Requirements:
90% attendance is mandatory.
Interns must bring their own laptops and adhere to the formal black-and-white dress code.

Documents Required:
Curriculum Vitae (CV) or Resume.
Expression of Interest: A concise write-up explaining your interest and suitability for the internship.
No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your college authority.

Selection Criteria:
Based on individual merit, ensuring a fair and transparent process.
Completion and Certification
Interns are required to submit a detailed report of their work during the internship. Upon successful completion, interns will receive an Internship Certificate signed by the Member Secretary, NALSA.
Note: Interns must arrange their accommodation and travel during the internship. No stipend or remuneration will be provided.
